The mission of the IRC is to help people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster, including the climate crisis, to survive, recover and gain control over their future. Since 1997 the IRC Tucson has enriched the fabric of our community through the resettlement of refugee families fleeing persecution from around the world. Through the IRC Community Sponsorship Program, members of the Pima County community (including Green Valley) now have the opportunity to volunteer with IRC Tucson as co-sponsors in directly resettling refugee families.
