24-hour full-service emergency department staffed by medical professionals with experience in emergency medicine. Patients are first seen by a registered nurse who assesses and prioritizes patients on the basis of need. We work closely with our EMS partners and will accept ambulances, and for patients who need a higher level of care, we have a helipad and helicopter transport to Tucson is available.
· 18-bed medical/surgical unit to take care of patients who need to be hospitalized, but don’t require a higher level of care, like an ICU. Patients here may have conditions like pneumonia, COPD or sepsis. This unit will also take care of patients who require hospitalization after surgery.
· X-ray, ultrasound, CT, echocardiogram, nuclear medicine study or laboratory tests
· Cardiology, gastroenterology, orthopedic surgery, general surgery and more
· The hospital does not have a catheterization laboratory, but emergency room physicians are able to stabilize and transfer patients having a heart attack.
